Lomography is a globally active organization dedicated to experimental and creative analogue photography. Originally established in 1992 by a group of offbeat students as an art movement, but fuelled by fiery passion and burning curiosity, the Lomographic Society soon grew to become the creative and innovative international company it is today.

We develop, market and distribute our products via worldwide photo stores, design stores, museums and lifestyle stores, as well as via our Lomography websites available in 17 languages which besides the online shop also host photo magazines and platforms for an international community of over one million Lomographers. Lomography regularly hosts events and exhibitions. The Lomography headquarters is in Vienna and has subsidiaries in London, Paris, NY, Tokyo, HK, Shanghai and Manila.

For our headquarters in Vienna we are looking for a (Junior) Controller. In this very interesting role, you will be a key part of a dynamic international Finance and Administration team and work closely with the company’s core management and all other departments such as logistics, sales, marketing and product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with various database, analysis and BI tools and creation of reports for the company management

  • Development and optimization of existing controlling systems, reports and BI tools

  • Analysis of the performance of the the company’s markets, channels and products

  • Ad-hoc analysis and recommendations for action

  • Support in the preparation of (consolidated) financial statements and interim reports

  • Further develop the potential for automation in reporting

  • Contact person for other departments and international colleagues regarding new controlling tools, ERP system enhancements and processes

  • Preparation of product cost calculations and product price calculations

  • Support in the preparation of budget and forecast calculations

Job requirements

  • University or technical college degree (ideally with a focus on accounting and controlling) or comparable training

  • Relevant professional experience in controlling, accounting or a similar area

  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

  • High IT affinity (very good knowledge of MS Excel or Google Spreadsheets, various web-based applications and database applications)

  • Basic Python programming skills are a clear advantage

  • A high affinity for numbers and the ability to think analytically

  • Well organized and independent way of working

  • Very good knowledge of English as a matter of course (other languages are an advantage)

  • Good communication skills and intercultural understanding

  • Interest in (analogue) photography and other creative interests are highly welcome
