As a globally active brand and organization dedicated to experimental and creative analogue photography and filmmaking, we develop and market Lomography-branded analogue photo cameras, film, photo and movie lenses, and accessories. We distribute our products via the international Lomography websites and our retail network, including photo, design, museum, department and lifestyle stores.

Lomography is headquartered in Vienna and has subsidiaries in London, Paris, NYC, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Manila. For our subsidiary in NYC, we are looking for a General Manager to operate and further develop Lomography’s business in the U.S. and Canada. We seek a sharp mind and ambition, combined with strong communication skills, curiosity, education and experience in both leadership and sales and marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops a team currently consisting of five members

  • Maintains and further develops existing high standards, efficiency and close ties with headquarters across all subsidiary operations – marketing and sales, finance, HR, logistics and administration, and customer service

  • Implements new headquarters strategies, policies and guidelines in support of organizational goals

  • Develops the markets and grows sales and revenue in the U.S. and Canada to their full potential (online, wholesale and corporate incentive/collaboration projects)

  • Recruits and develops new team members

  • Develops dedicated new marketing and sales strategies for the U.S. and Canada markets

  • Conducts regular staff performance reviews

Job requirements

Your Profile

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (an advanced degree is preferred but not required)

  • Proven experience (minimum three years) as an operations, department or general manager, or in a similar executive role

  • Knowledge of Lomography and analogue photography in general is an advantage

  • Knowledge of general business processes and functions (finance, HR, sales, marketing, operations etc.)

  • Motivated self-starter

  • Interest in arts, culture and design

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Outstanding computer literacy

  • Strong analytical and logical skills, with strategic ability

  • In-depth knowledge of planning, implementation, and risk assessment

  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills

  • Highly dependable and detail-oriented

  • Available immediately for hiring

  • Salary range: from $65,000, actual compensation to be discussed based on skills and experience
