ABOUT THE JOB

As the “Product Development Team: Analogue Camera Specialist”, you will play a key role in creating new and innovative analogue photography products including but not limited to cameras, lenses and photography accessories. 

You will work hand in hand with our design and product development team in realising the new product ideas from ideation, concept, research, design and manufacturing. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, marketers and project managers, you will ensure that the products not only meet technical requirements, but also align with market demands while reflecting our passion for analogue photography.

This is an opportunity for someone who is extremely passionate about analogue photography and has already accumulated a high level of knowledge and expertise in this field, and is seeking for a position to translate your passion and knowledge into captivating products which will be loved by the analogue photography community worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic market research and ideas generation for analogue photography products for in-house products.

  • Create concepts, sketching, technical briefs and presentations for internal discussion and brainstorming sessions.

  • Collaborate with our R&D department in prototyping, testing, engineering executions and production.

  • Collaborate with our cross-functional teams in launches, market positioning, and after sales follow-up.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Knowledge and experience in analogue photography in terms of equipment, history, artistry and technical.

  • Understanding and knowledge in mechanical design, engineering and structure in analogue photography equipment (cameras, lenses, etc.) and/or other industrial products.

  • Experience and knowledge in the manufacturing process will be an advantage. 

  • Proficiency in engineering 3D software modelling and rendering e.g. Solidwork, Creo Parametric, Fusion 360, Keyshot is an advantage.

  • Experience on handcrafting prototypes & 3D printings is an advantage.

  • Good communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese.

  • Proactive, detail-minded, energetic and willing to explore.
