ABOUT THE JOB
As the Project Manager (Printing) you will be responsible for overseeing our printing production, project management for all print jobs, quotations, communication with both the suppliers, design department and headquarters. You will be working closely with both our team in HK and HQ in Vienna, as well as a team of international talents across the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project management for all print-related projects including packages, manuals, books, and any other printing materials, and ensure all jobs are being done excellently, efficiently and on time.
Prepare project overviews for both new and existing printing jobs including new costs, existing costs, lead time, timeline and quantity.
Organize an overview for new printing projects from printers based on the requirements from HQ in order to find the optimal printer in terms of quality, lead time and costs.
Responsible for monitoring existing printing inventory for both new and existing projects in order to propose new reprinting jobs to HQ.
Coordination and close communication with the suppliers in order to ensure an accurate production schedule and smooth operation.
Negotiation with the suppliers for the best costs and production schedule possible under the instructions of HQ.
Working with the design department, prepare and inspect blank dummies production and sampling with the printers and ensure the quality of the dummies and samples are meeting the demanded requirements before sending them to HQ for further inspection and instruction.
Organize the POs and statements via our booking system (with support from F&A department), and deliver POs and place orders including all the requirements to the suppliers.
Maintaining an archive of all past orders/jobs, as well as the artwork database related to print.
Routine visits to our production (as long as travel restriction allows due to Covid) in order to inspect all new and existing printing materials from mass production to ensure all jobs are being done as per request.
Sourcing new materials per request upon instruction from HQ.
Maintaining an accurate record of distribution and inventory in order to provide an accurate overview of all print-related materials.
Organize routine reports of all projects on hands to provide an accurate status of all projects on hand, as well as inventory and distribution of materials.
Constantly scouting for new packaging trends, new materials, sustainable packaging solutions.
Constantly scouting for new suppliers to improve quality, costs, time, etc.
Job requirements
Degree in production management, project management, print-related fields
At least 1-2 year experience
Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), any other additional language is a plus
Proficiency in MS Suite, some basics in Adobe Creative Suite is required
Affinity for art, design and culture
Organized, patient and willingness to learn
Knowledge in analogue photography and Lomography is a big advantage
