For our subsidiary in Hong Kong, we are looking for a Regional Finance & Administration Manager for Asia. In this very interesting role, you will be a key part of a dynamic international Finance and Administration team and work closely with all other departments such as sales and logistics. You will be in close contact with the Lomography Headquarter in Vienna/Austria and various other subsidiaries all over the world to support the operations of the company with various topics related to Accounting, Finance and Administration.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for accounting, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable for our subsidiaries in Hong Kong, China, Japan, Philippines

  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements in collaboration with local staff and CPAs

  • Setup accounting procedures for new subsidiaries

  • Support procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards

  • Lead local F&A teams in HK and in Asian subsidiaries and maintain regular communication to provide updates and guidance

  • Get involved in administrational topics related to the subsidiaries in Asia in coordination with local F&A staff and CPAs

  • Collaboration in the preparation and analysis of various financial reports such as sales reports, expenses analysis reports and other key metrics.

  • Analyse expenses and set up basic cost control and profitability checks

  • Assist and supervise regional finance controlling activities in Asia with the goal to derive recommendations relevant for decision-making

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance financial performance

  • Support international tax planning and compliance across jurisdictions in collaboration with tax advisers

  • Oversee payroll and personnel expenses for the Asia region

  • Manage cash and payments and provide weekly cash flow reports and forecasts

  • Identify ways to improve the day-to-day processes, and provide suggestions on efficiency and effectiveness enhancements

  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required

  • Support smooth office routines for the regional team in Asia

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; 3-10 years of experience in finance, accounting or similar roles, experience in a with team coordination is an advantage, but not a requirement

  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

  • Experience with preparing and analysingof cash flow calculations, budgets and financial analysis combined with curiosity to learn learn and grow in an international environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams across different regions and cultures.

  • Open-minded attitude

  • Ability and motivation to dive into new regulations and administrational requirements of companies in different countries

  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (especially Excel and Google sheets) as well as in ERP and accounting software.

  • PowerBI knowledge and experience and/or basic Python knowledge is a clear advantage

  • Interest in (analogue) photography and other creative interests are highly welcome

  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
